My specialty is creating humorous illustrations for presentations
For many years, I have provided custom-made humorous illustrations, particularly for internal presentations for a number of large companies such as Statoil, Mills, Esso, Coca-Cola Drikker, Reitan, Fjordland, and others. The illustrations have been delivered in Norwegian or English, and sometimes in both languages. They have been used for sales meetings, seminars, and not least for training purposes. In most cases, I receive a brief description of the message the illustration is intended to convey, after which I send the client two to three alternative concept sketches. Unless the client wishes to purchase full exclusive rights, I retain the copyright and the right, should I choose, to display the illustrations on my website. I may also sell them to other clients as long as there is no reference to the original customer. As a retiree, I take great pleasure in creating imaginative and humorous illustrations, now at significantly reduced rates compared to before. The quality remains the same.

Simple
Simple caricature, shown from the chest up. In color. Little or no background detail. A humorous expression and a gentle, light caricature of facial features that are characteristic of the person.

Standard
Half or full-body caricature of one person. In color. In the background, a couple of smaller drawings showing things typical for the person. More expression, posture, and context than in the “Simple” level.

More extensive
Color caricature of two to three people, where one of them may be more prominent. A clear scene or action. A small narrative or a group in a situation, such as a meeting around a table.

Advanced
Color caricature of a large group (6+ people), with a detailed background or setting and a composition with many elements. For example, an interior, a cityscape, or a fully developed satirical scene.

If a caricature assignment is concluded at the sketch stage, I charge NOK 500 for the sketches.
Formats
On watercolor paper
The illustration is delivered on sheets in either A4 (21 × 29.7 cm) or A3 (29.7 × 42 cm). Part of the paper surface is reserved for a white margin around the drawing — for A4, the margin is 2 cm on each side, and for A3, the margin is 3 cm on each side. Typically, 1 cm is also needed for a mat or frame. Please let me know if you would like a larger margin around the drawing or if you have other special requests.
Digitally delivered illustration
The digital file is prepared in A4 print size (21 × 29.7 cm). The resolution is 600 dpi for possible enlarged printing. The standard file format is TIFF, but you may request JPEG or PNG if preferred. Please let me know if you have any specific requirements.
Ready-made cartoons for sale
I also have a large collection of ready-made cartoons, in both English and Norwegian, available for agreed use for various purposes. Prices start at just $6 for single use aimed at a smaller audience (such as one blog post or a social media share), with higher prices for larger publications, wider distribution, or commercial use.
